Waterways under restoration
There are over 50 waterway restoration schemes active in England and Wales.
Each year WW contacts every one of them to find out how they are progressing to provide a comprehensive annual review.
There are some massively ambitious schemes that are already making progress, but still have a long way to go. There are smaller more local schemes that are quietly but rapidly gaining headway. There are the ‘slow burners’ that are simmering away in the background. And there are the newcomers, spurred on by the success of others, and still finding their feet.
